‘I want to see Nnamdi Kanu before God calls me’ – 99-year-old woman begs Tinubu

99-Year-Old Woman Appeals for Nnamdi Kanu’s Release
A 99-year-old resident of Afaraukwu, Sarah Nwanyisunday Oparaocha, has called on the Federal Government to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Oparaocha, who lives in the hometown of Kanu, emphasized her wish to see him freed.
In an interview with DAILY POST and other media outlets on Saturday, Oparaocha expressed her desire to witness Kanu’s return to Afaraukwu while she is still alive. Her plea coincided with a community meeting where local residents gathered to advocate for Kanu’s release.
Speaking in her native Igbo, Oparaocha shared her routine of praying each morning for Nigerian leaders to reconsider Kanu’s imprisonment. “I will soon turn 100 years old. I weep every morning during my prayers because of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,” she stated.
She continued, “I am pleading with the Nigerian government to release him so I can see him before God calls me. Nobody knows when that time will come, but I will be happy if I see Kanu before then.”
Additionally, Oparaocha advised younger generations to prioritize natural foods for better health, warning that poor dietary choices could negatively impact their well-being.
