Nigerian content creator Jarvis, known for her impressive artificial intelligence (AI) and non-playable character (NPC) impressions, has opened up about her feelings when her boyfriend Pellar publicly proposed to her.
During the pair’s recent appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Jarvis revealed her initial hesitation and the internal battle she faced at that moment.
“Actually, I didn’t expect something like that there, and the first thing that went through my mind was no, and the no was very loud in my head. I had to battle myself to come to a conclusion,” she explained.
In the viral clip of the proposal, Jarvis could be seen taken aback by the proposal, which she thought was a prank. Peller went on one bent knee at a restaurant with family and friends watching on in excitement, and she eventually said yes.

Jarvis also revealed that, contrary to what people might think, she actually is not a public person.
She said, “Number one, I’m not a public person, so I don’t like all that kneeling down in front of everybody and everybody saying, ‘Say yes.’ I could have still disappointed you and said no, but deep down it’s a yes from me.”
This comes after she previously debunked the reports that she got engaged, clarifying that the ring was a promise ring and not an engagement ring.
At the time, she clarified, “It’s a promise ring, not an engagement ring. A promise ring and an engagement ring aren’t the same o, an engagement ring is for marriage, and in two to three weeks we should be getting married. The time hasn’t come yet, this promise ring is a ring of ‘my love, I’m traveling to another country, please wait for me till I return,’ and I said okay. I’m not running anywhere, you know.”
Recall that the couple made their relationship official at the Pulse Influencer Awards in October 2020 after Peller dedicated his award to Jarvis and kissed her on stage.
