Ibori’s daughter attacked by gunmen as violence rocks APC congress in Delta

Violence Erupts at APC Congress in Delta State
Ethiope-West Local Government Area, Delta State — Violence erupted during the All Progressives Congress (APC) congress on Saturday when Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, the member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency and daughter of former Governor James Ibori, was attacked by gunmen.
The incident occurred at the Ovade venue of the congress and resulted in several injuries. According to reports from DAILY POST, tensions escalated shortly after Ibori-Suenu arrived at the event.
Attackers armed with guns and other weapons prevented the federal lawmaker and her supporters from entering the venue. Fortunately, the situation was contained by the lawmaker’s security team, who intervened to thwart the assailants.
In the wake of the violence, Ibori-Suenu has called for calm among APC supporters throughout the state.
