Deborah Fasoyin, an esteemed Nigerian gospel artist recognized for her hit song “Odun n lo sopin,” has addressed and refuted recent rumors regarding her death.
The speculation surrounding the 86-year-old singer gained traction on social media and various news outlets on Monday. In response, Fasoyin shared a video on social media, labeling the reports as unfounded.
“Great day to you everybody. I’m happy to tell you that I’m hale and hearty, and what you’ve seen on Facebook is fake. I know that I will finish strong with supernatural sound health,” she stated.
Fasoyin further expressed her desire to “go to my father in peace, not in sickness, not in pain” and anticipated living to a “good old age, just like my father Abraham.”
