”It is in God’s hands ? Governor Umahi speaks on Igbos standing a chance to pick up APC presidential ticket

Ebonyi state governor and chairman of the SouthEast governors forum, Dave Umahi, has said the emergence of an Igbo president come 2023 lies in the hands of God.

There have been calls for the presidency to move to the SouthEast come 2023. The two dominant parties, APC and PDP are yet to announce which should pick their presidential ticket for 2023.

In a chat with Channels TV on Monday night, August 2, Umahi who defected to the ruling APC last year, was asked if the Igbos would be able to pick up the presidential ticket of the APC. Responding, he said;

“It’s in the hands of God”

When asked if God is a member of the APC to take such a decision, the governor replied in the affirmative saying;

“He is. He directs our affairs. He gives breath to every man so power belongs to God. Whatever thing we wish will come through only through God. If God says yes, no one can say no.”
