Iyabo Ojo Reacts As Court Sentences Baba Ijesha To Jail

Popular Nigerian actress, Iyabo Ojo has reacted to the ruling of an Ikeja Special Offences Court against her colleague, Olarenwaju James, popularly known as Baba Ijesha.

Recall that the court on Thursday sentenced the actor to jail over the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.

Baba Ijesha was found guilty of sexually molesting the foster daughter of Nigerian comedienne, Princess.

The judge in charge of the case, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo after two hours sitting, sentenced Baba Ijesha to 16 years in jail.

Iyabo Ojo who has been at the forefront of the case against Baba Ijesha dedicated the judgement to abused children.

She called on people who have faced similar cases not to be afraid to speak up and speak out.

The actress also took the opportunity to preach against rape.

Iyabo Ojo in a post on her Instagram account wrote, “To all the girl child and boy being abused, do not be afraid to speak up and speak out.

“This victory is for you. Say no to rape.”
