Jack Grealish Fined £1,044 After Lamborghini Ran Red Light In Liverpool

Everton’s Jack Grealish Fined for Traffic Violation
LIVERPOOL — Everton midfielder Jack Grealish has been ordered to pay £1,044 by a magistrates court in Liverpool following a traffic incident involving his Lamborghini. The £210,000 vehicle was recorded running a red light during a late-night drive in September last year.
Grealish, 30, who is currently on loan from Manchester City, faced prosecution by Merseyside Police after the incident, which occurred near the outskirts of Liverpool city center.
CCTV footage captured Grealish’s sky blue Lamborghini traveling along Leeds Street and Vauxhall Road, passing a traffic signal 1.4 seconds after it turned red. Although the original charge of running the red light was dropped, Grealish was found guilty of failing to provide information regarding the driver when required by law.
Court records indicate that Grealish did not enter a plea, and the proceedings were conducted in a closed session last week. Kevin Scott, manager of the safer roads unit at Merseyside Police, testified that officers sent letters to a Manchester address in September and later to a £5.6 million property in Cheshire in November, seeking confirmation of the driver’s identity. Scott stated that the footballer “failed to comply.”
Magistrate Paul Farquhar assessed six penalty points on Grealish’s driving license, imposed a £660 fine, and mandated £120 in court costs along with a £264 victim surcharge.
The incident took place shortly after 11:30 p.m. on September 12, a day before Grealish played in a goalless Premier League draw against his former club, Aston Villa. The former Aston Villa captain, who became the most expensive British player when he transferred to Manchester City for £100 million in 2021, confirmed that an injury has prematurely ended his 2025-26 season with Everton.
