A Nigerian senior lawyer reportedly closed down his chamber in Akure and relocated to the United Kingdom where he currently works as a cleaner in a clothing store.

An Ondo-based human right lawyer, Bolanle Cole, who disclosed this on Sunday, November 23, said it’s worrisome that senior lawyers are relocating to the UK only to end up working as security guards and sales boys.

“Senior lawyers leaving Nigeria to become a sales boy or security guard in the UK is worrisome,” he wrote.

“A very senior lawyer closed down his chamber here in Akure and relocated to the UK through the influence of his wife. He got to UK through study route and he is currently working with Primark as a cleaner.”
