It is almost impossible to predict a winner in this fight. Both women are at the top of their game and are two of the best fighters ever to lace up a pair of gloves.
In Katie Taylor you have a woman who has really helped bring women’s boxing to the forefront. Not many people can say they’ve fought at Madison Square Garden in front of a sell out crowd, but she will this weekend and has already done so before.
In Amanda Serrano, you have a woman who is quite simply one of the best females to ever step into that ring. This fight has captured the imagination of so many boxing fans around the world and will be a phenomenal showcase event on Saturday night into the early hours of Sunday morning.
Here at SportsLens, we think this fight is almost certainly going the full twelve rounds. Tylor has just six knockouts in her 20 wins, and we think that could well happen again at the weekend.
We are siding with the Irish boxing sensation. She is by far the best fighter Serrano will have faced, and if she shows her best form, we think her sheer boxing IQ and skills will get the job done.

Although we think the fight will be a Taylor points victory, the unanimous decision win will get you even better odds.
Taylor has won her last six fights by unanimous decision, which we could see happening again here. With the 10 x 2 minute rounds in female world championship boxing, we think Taylor will work Serrano on the outside, not letting her get off her big shots.
Serrano has also won her last two fights by decision, but does have a high knockout ratio. ‘The Real Deal’ has 30 stoppage victories in her 42 wins, but we can’t her catching Taylor cold at all and think that Taylor may be too smart and too slick for her.
If this fight was happening two years ago, the vast majority of the boxing public would be siding with Taylor. However, as the Bray native has looked slightly less deadly and perfect in her last few performances, there are some question marks surrounding how much Taylor has left at 35-years-old.
We think this is a bit unfair on ‘KT’, who we can almost guarantee will rise to the occasion at the weekend.
A unanimous decision victory over Serrano would arguably be the best win of her career, and we think after a long, tough training camp, Taylor will do everything in her power to make this happen.

As we have previously mentioned, Serrano is one of the few woman in boxing who has a devastating knockout punch.
She has stopped almost 75% of her opponents, which is more than almost every other female fighter across all of the different weight divisions.
For that reason, you simply cannot dismiss Serrano. She may well land a flurry of big shots and wobble Taylor, which could be a fight changing scenario.
If Serrano is to win, it will more than likely be by stoppage. Again, this all depends on how much Taylor has left. Although we are siding with the Irish sensation to get the job done, it would be foolish to completely write off Serrano in a fight the bookmakers cannot split and that has the boxing community divided almost perfectly in half in terms of predictions.
If Serrano can get to Taylor in the mid to late rounds, perhaps when she is behind on the scorecards and slightly chasing the fight, she may well catch Taylor and stop her on her feet.
That is what makes this fight so intriguing. There are so many different outcomes which could potentially occur between two fighters who are at the pinnacle of the sport.
