Cowboys playmaker Jake Clifford will depart North Queensland on the finish of the 2021 season to hyperlink up with the Newcastle Knights.
Clifford, 22, will be part of the Knights on a two-year deal commencing in 2022.
The younger half has performed 35 NRL video games for the Cowboys since making his debut again in 2018. In 2017, Clifford was named the Holden Cup Participant of the 12 months.
Knights Head of Recruitment Clint Zammit stated he is assured Clifford with “develop” as a playmaker by lining up alongside halfback Mitchell Pearce.
“When the chance arose to signal Jake, I believed it was an ideal match for each events,” Zammit stated.
“We consider he’ll develop alongside the likes of Mitchell Pearce, each as a participant and as an individual.
“He is a great younger expertise from a great household and might be an excellent addition to each our taking part in group and the Knights for a very long time.”
