LIVE: Broncos gun signs massive new deal

Gun Broncos lock Patrick Carrigan has penned a huge contract extension, tying himself to Brisbane until the end of 2028.

The 25-year-old was already contracted to the Broncos until the end of 2024, but has signed a four-year contract extension in a massive show of faith in Kevin Walters’ grand plan.

“I love this club and I could never imagine leaving,” Carrigan said.

“We are building something special here together and I wanted to make a long-term commitment to be a part of that.

“A lot of us guys have been through the tough times together and now we are starting to show signs of what we can do if we work hard and work for each other.

“I’m here for the long haul and I’m excited about what we can achieve together over the years ahead.”

The Broncos academy product was awarded the Wally Lewis Medal last year, handed to the State of Origin player of the series.

He made his NRL debut in 2019 and has played 61 games in his impressive career.
