LIVE: Eels star goes down with serious injury

At the end of the first 40 minutes, it’s the Panthers who lead the Sea Eagles by 10 points.

And although Penrith may look the better side so far having owned 53 per cent of the possession, Manly are well and truly in the game.

The Sea Eagles were thrashed by 40 points last time these two sides met in Round Four when Manly was without star fullback Tom Trbojevic.

Trbojevic’s presence has already been felt, with the fullback keeping things close when he produced a stunning intercept try.

Rugby league great Steve Roach said it’s up to the Sea Eagles to handle Penrith’s persistent attack

“Manly’s defence isn’t bad, it’s just these guys are just flat and fast and at you, two or three times every set,” Roach told Fox League.

During the half-time break, Manly coach Des Hasler was seen showing plenty of emotion as he addressed his playing group.

“The spaces around centre Morgan Harper and Jason Saab [on Manly’s right edge] is getting pulled apart,” Michael Ennis told Fox League.

“You can see Des Hasler laying down the law to his troops.

“They haven’t turned up, their try in the first half was against the run of play.

“Jarome Luai and Nathan Cleary have got an age to decide what they want to do, there’s plenty to do for Des.”
