England fullback Freddie Steward has scored his side’s first try after the halftime siren in a real blow to Australian morale.

Courtney Lawes turned down a shot at goal in search of five points and it paid dividends at the SCG.

England lead 11-10 at halftime despite the Wallabies having the better of proceedings.

“Australia will be really disappointed after the way they started,” Sonny Bill Williams said.
