[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’m about to start testing some skin care for sponsored content so I’ve been trying to at least top line test some of the moisturisers and serums I have that I can’t use when I’m properly testing and am very glad to have happened upon Lumene. It’s been sitting in my ‘to get to’ box for months but one evening I just really fancied a fancy feeling night cream so it was the perfect opportunity to give Sleeping Cream a whirl.

Lumene Sleeping Cream

First of all, a couple of minus points for having a huge box and small jar. They could definitely save a bit of cardboard use there by making the box the right fit – I always have a bit of a side-eye for brands that want to make something look more than it actually is. However, the actual product, the sleeping cream, is divine. Absolutely deliciously hydrating, softening and comforting.

My friend Kicki publishes a beauty magazine in Sweden and I’ve often seen Lumene pop up on her pages (it’s such a wonderful thing to have a magazine that you can’t actually read because the indulgence of looking at lovely beauty things without having to learn a thing about them is ever so relaxing!) and this month they have the Lumene Skin Tints and they are next on my list to try. It’s a good sign when you dip into an unknown brand and immediately want to try other things from it.

You can see from the picture how glossy and light the cream is – I used it several times at night over the serum (I’ve also been using Biossance Squalane Oil over it and over Irene Forte’s Hibiscus Cream – not at the same time – as well as Willowberry’s PHA Liquid Exfoliator and forthcoming oil from REN) and really like the combination. You can see the top line ingredients from the box and if you like the idea of a night cream that will remind you of – I want to say ‘old style’ which doesn’t do it justice – pots of Helena Rubenstein or Estee Lauder with that exceptionally softening finish and sense of luxury, you will like Lumene Sleeping Cream. It feels like very good value for £22.50 HERE.
