Marriage: Submission is slavery – Nigerian woman says

A Nigerian woman, Maryann Obiageli Duruibe, has said that submission in marriage is not respect but slavery.

“Submission, is not compromise. Submission, is not respect. Submission, is slavery! Putting the control of your life to another person,” she wrote.
