Meet Fox News Channel’s Newest Contributor: Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner, former athlete, Olympic gold medal winner, reality TV star, and gubernatorial candidate, now has one more job to add to a pretty diverse resume. Jenner has signed on with the Fox News Channel as a contributor

Jenner’s big debut will reportedly come on Thursday night’s edition of “Hannity,” according to Deadline.

CEO of Fox News Media Suzanne Scott issued a statement saying,

“Caitlyn’s story is an inspiration to us all. She is a trailblazer in the LGBTQ+ community and her illustrious career spans a variety of fields that will be a tremendous asset for our audience.”

New Opportunity

Caitlyn Jenner also put out a statement that read, “I am humbled by this unique opportunity to speak directly to FOX News Media’s millions of viewers about a range of issues that are important to the American people.”

Jenner was once considered perhaps the greatest athlete in the world after winning the gold medal in the decathlon during the 1976 Olympic games in Montreal as Bruce Jenner.

Jenner then was seen as a regular in the reality TV series “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” having been married to the Kardashian matriarch Kris.

Kris and then-Bruce Jenner announced their separation in 2015 after 22 years of marriage when Bruce came out as transgender during an interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer. They share two daughters.

Jenner first decided to test the political waters in 2021 in the recall election to unseat California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

The State Of The GOP In California

In May of 2021, just days after she announced that she would be getting into the California Governor’s race, Jenner admitted that she did not vote for Donald Trump in 2020, or even at all: “I didn’t even vote. Out here in California, it’s like, why vote for a Republican president? It’s just not going to work. I mean, it’s overwhelming.”

Jenner also said that even though she is “kind of on the Republican side,” but is not a fan of “labels.” Jenner explained her political bent a bit more saying,

“Just because I have conservative economic philosophy — that’s the only thing that the Republicans are kind of on that I’m on. … I don’t know. Maybe you call me a libertarian. Maybe you call me in the middle. I really don’t know because when it comes to social issues, I’m much more progressive, much more liberal. So I’m kind of a middle of the road.”

Bash also asked Jenner if she thought the 2020 election was stolen. Jenner replied, “No, I believe in the system, but I believe in the — what we need to do in the future is we are a democratic republic, we need to have integrity in our election system.”

Outspoken On Issues

Caitlyn Jenner has been an outspoken opponent of transgenders competing in women’s sports. In January, during an interview with Fox News Channel’s Sandra Smith, Jenner weighed in on the Lia Thomas controversy in NCAA women’s swimming.

“We need to protect women’s sports. I don’t know why she’s doing this. It’s not good for the trans community. It’s not good for women’s sports.” Jenner also added, “She knows when she’s swimming she’s beating the competition by two laps. She was born a biological boy. She was raised as a biological boy. Her cardiovascular system is bigger, her respiratory system is bigger, her hands are bigger, she can swim faster. That’s a known.”

Fox News Channel viewers should enjoy a fresh perspective on current issues.
