[unpaid/sample] It’s sooooo long since I’ve smelled a Michael Kors fragrance but always liked them for their ‘it’s sweet and we don’t care’ attitude. I like some sweetness in a fragrance – and I love jasmine so this is very much my kind of scent. I also like the older Lauder fragrances and there is very much a thread of those through Michael Kors because MK Beauty is owned by ELC. The bright and fresh opener is pink pepper, bergamot and mandarin, but my nose went straight to jasmine sambac, tuberose and orange flower (there’s a little dot of ylang ylang there too).

There are plenty of wood notes on the dry down but to be honest, I don’t get any weight from it – it’s more of a creaminess – although the tonka bean is evident. I find Gorgeous! a very easy wear – it’s happy from the moment you put it on and carries on smiling from your skin throughout. I didn’t find the last exceptional but on the other hand, I would quite happily top up as and when because the spritz is so enjoyable.

There are a lot of new fragrances about (I’ve got several more coming up) and it’s easy to get overwhelmed with the complexity of notes. I feel that Michael Kors Gorgeous! cuts to the chase as a sweet citrus-floral with a smooth finish and if that’s your particular preference, there’s nothing not to like. It’s £49 for 30ml (although if you buy the 50ml or over you get a free Michael Kors crossbody bag should you want it) HERE.
