Nigeria Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie has been left heartbroken by her favourite team Chelsea, but fans have a solution after the latest disappointment.

She has since returned to Texas, USA, where she plays for the Houston Dash and works as a researcher at the oncology department of a Children’s Hospital in the state.

Alozie back with Houston Dash

The winger has been in action for her club since returning, playing in three matches so far after the World Cup.

She scored a stunner against Kansas City in her second game after the tournament in New Zealand and Australia, helping her team snatch one point from a losing position.

Her most recent game for Houston was, however, tainted by a red card incident in the 33rd minute of the game.

She was punished for a professional foul as she impeded her opponent, who latched onto a loose ball from Alozie’s poor control and was through on goal.

Although she represents the Super Falcons, as she was born to Nigerian parents from Imo State, Alozie was born and raised in the USA.

She made her debut for Nigeria in June 2021 under coach Randy Waldrum and has increasingly embraced her roots.

Following her first World Cup with Nigeria and the immense show of affection she has gotten from the country, Alozie has gone on to tattoo a Nigerian-unique tattoo on the back of her thighs.
