The first spritz is full of the sweet-tart note that your nose will instantly enjoy but the settle is more interesting. I think the rhubarb is amplified by grapefruit and yuzu so it sort of fizzes at the beginning but then in comes rose to soften everything. Rhubarb leaf is indicated as a middle note along with rose and mint but I think this fragrance leads with its title. Strangely, I couldn’t directly find the mint note, but you know how you get a kind of fresh feeling after smelling mint? I could feel that in my nostrils.

The bottom is comprised of vanilla, must and cotton candy but I feel that they’ve been given quite a light touch. You won’t like Molton Brown Delicious Rhubarb & Rose if you are averse to sweet fragrances but this really isn’t your usual gourmand – it’s fun, light and rather airy when it’s settled itself – you won’t smell like rhubarb cake but you will smell delicious!
