Never Trumper Kinzinger Chickens Out Of Interview Invite From Tucker Carlson: Says He’s Too ‘Hostile’

Representative Adam Kinzinger, fresh off an attempt to look like a “tough” guy by attacking a UFC fighter who opposed war against Russia, ducked an interview request from Tucker Carlson because the Fox News host is “hostile” and “interrupts and laughs” at his guests.

Kinzinger’s response was entirely predictable following a spat in which he mocked a guest of Carlson’s from last week – UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell.

Mitchell opposes U.S. involvement in Ukraine and expressed his view in an interview on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

The Illinois Republican shared a clip of the interview and mocked the UFC fighter, saying there’s little doubt the Greatest Generation would like to slap the “kid,” adding that there are tougher and braver people than Mitchell.

“Oh my Lord. This is America,” he wrote adding, “The WW2 generation would love to slap him I’m sure.”

Kinzinger Hiding From Tucker Carlson

Tucker Carlson responded to Kinzinger’s jabs at his guest by mocking the Representative as “Mr. Tough Guy” and claiming he was “triggered” by the interview.

Carlson then put out an open invitation to appear on his show.

“Adam Kinzinger is always invited on the show,” he said. “Any time. We will give him the hour. Mr. Tough Guy.”

While the prospect of being able to trash Trump and cast yourself as a moral superior for an entire 60 minutes had to leave Kinzinger salivating, I knew there was no chance he’d accept the invite.

“‘Mr. Tough Guy’ isn’t going to accept that challenge any time soon,” The Political Insider wrote last week.

Sure enough, Kinzinger was offered an actual invite to the show and he declined.

He’s Too Hostile

Kinzinger posted a video declining Tucker Carlson’s interview request by declaring the Fox News show to be “Russian propaganda.”

Which is what every war-mongering lawmaker has labeled anyone who dares to suggest that America should not risk global thermonuclear war with Russia.

Kinzinger, who visibly cried and sniffled his way through a hearing on the Capitol riot, has repeatedly called for a no-fly zone over Ukraine, something Senator Marco Rubio and others have pointed out would lead to World War III.

Mr. Tough Guy wants a war. Mr. Tough Guy wants to send young men and women to die. But he won’t debate a TV host?

“His show is full of Russian propaganda and not news, and I will not validate his show by making an appearance,” Kinzinger said. “I do not want to be associated with it in any way.”

What the congressman said next is utterly hilarious.

“When Tucker interviews someone in a hostile way, he interrupts and laughs when he’s been caught in a lie,” he whined.

Kinzinger’s next statement can only be defined as ‘projection.’

“He’s not interested in conversations,” he accused. “He’s only interested in himself.”

This, coming from a man completely self-absorbed with creating a ruse that he is a savior of ‘democracy.’
