US rapper Nicki Minaj has initiated legal action against Nigerian social media influencer Dr. Penking, citing allegations of cyberbullying and copyright infringement.
The dispute arose after Dr. Penking posted an old video of Minaj on the social media platform X on Saturday. Accompanying the video, he wrote a comment suggesting that Minaj should acknowledge her age and retire.
In response, Minaj questioned Dr. Penking’s authorization to use the video, asserting that it was intended to harass her. She subsequently notified him that he had been added to her lawsuit.
“Do you have permission to use this video that I filmed years ago to harass me on this or any platform? You’ve just been added to the suit,” she stated in her response.
