NPFL: Aweroro relieved as Shooting Stars end barren run

Shooting Stars End Two-Game Winless Streak in NPFL

Shooting Stars technical adviser Nurudeen Aweroro praised his players following their 4-2 victory over Warri Wolves, which marked a return to winning form in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The Oluyole Warriors managed to break a two-match winless streak with the win on their home ground. Scorers for Shooting Stars included Stephen Amos, Sodiq Ibrahim, Lucky Emmanuel, and Desmond Ojietefian, while Peter Ita and Othuke Egbo found the net for Warri Wolves.

Aweroro noted the determination exhibited by his team throughout the match. “It wasn’t easy for us to go without a win in our previous two fixtures, which is why we resolved to give our best to end that barren run,” he said in an interview with 3SCfanstv.

He added that the team had worked diligently in preparation for the game and adhered to game strategies despite conceding two goals.

As a result of the victory, Shooting Stars climbed to seventh place in the league table, amassing a total of 38 points.
