NPFL: Bayelsa United coach Okara targets top-nine finish

Bayelsa United Coach Aims for Top Nine Finish in NPFL
Bayelsa United head coach Meremu Okara is setting his sights on a top-nine finish in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season. Following a narrow 1-0 victory over Rivers United on Sunday, the team rose to 14th place in the league standings. Despite the win, Bayelsa United remains just one point above the relegation zone.
Okara expressed confidence in the team’s abilities after the match, stating, “I would like the team to end the season among the top nine — above 10th position, ideally from ninth upward. That’s what we’re pursuing.”
The Prosperity Boys will next face Kun Khalifat FC in an away match this weekend.
