NPFL: Enyimba fans warn against relegation

Enyimba Fans Voice Concerns Over Team’s Relegation Threat
Aba, Nigeria — Supporters of Enyimba Football Club are increasingly worried that their team could face relegation amid a series of disappointing performances in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).
The apprehension follows Enyimba’s recent 1-0 defeat against Ikorodu City on Sunday, which has left the club in 14th place on the league table with 31 points.
Expressions of frustration were widespread among the fans after the match. Many are calling on Chairman Kanu Nwankwo and the players to enhance their performance or face removal from the club.
“Enyimba is now giving away points in Aba,” stated fan Chukwuemeka Onwuka, voicing a sentiment shared by many others. Fans such as Chimaobi Williams, Godwin Kalu, and Benet Nwachukwu also expressed astonishment at the team’s ongoing struggles, especially given that four coaches have already been employed this season.
In a bid to revitalize the team, Governor Alex Otti recently appointed Deutsch Emmanuel Gustave as the new head coach, alongside Daniel Eke as the sporting director.
