Katsina United Declares Player Uche Collins AWOL
Katsina United, a team in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), has officially declared forward Uche Collins Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL). The announcement was made by the club’s chairman, Surajo Umar Baba, in a statement released on Friday.
Umar reported that Collins has been unaccounted for since the team’s match against Rangers on February 22, 2026, held at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium. He emphasized that Collins remains under contract with the club, known as the Chanji Boys, until the conclusion of the 2026/2027 season.
The club has issued a warning to any teams attempting to recruit Collins without proper authorization, stating that legal action will be pursued.
Collins has been recognized as one of Katsina United’s top players in recent seasons, having received the title of Player of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign.
