NPFL: Plateau United will fight to main top-flight status — Ogunbote

Plateau United Seeks Survival in NPFL Following Setback

Plateau United’s technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, expressed the team’s commitment to securing its position in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after a disappointing loss to Barau FC on Monday.

The defeat, which ended with a score of 2-1, has left Plateau United in 12th place on the NPFL table, just four points above the relegation zone.

Ogunbote acknowledged the challenges faced during this critical stage of the season but assured fans that the team would continue its efforts to achieve its survival goals.

“At this stage of the season, the games are very difficult. We will do our best to get good results and hope for a level playing ground on the road,” Ogunbote stated in comments to Plateau United’s media team. “Our target remains to avoid the drop, and we are working to achieve that.”

Looking ahead, Plateau United will face Niger Tornadoes this weekend as they strive to improve their standing in the league.
