Nursing mother and child abducted in Osogbo

Mrs Olayinka Kayode, a nursing mother who is also a teacher at Union Baptist Church, Osogbo, Osun state’s capital, has been kidnapped by gunmen alongside her child. 

 

Mrs Kayode was reportedly returning home from her shop when gunmen accosted her at Otaefun/Kobo area of Osogbo around 6pm on Tuesday, January 24. 

 

Her kidnap was confirmed by Pastor of her church, Rev. Sunday Adeoye. He said Kayode was taken to unknown location and the abductors contacted the husband for N5m ransom. 

 

Adeoye said; 

 

“They instructed us to pay into the account of their victim. 

“We solicit for the continued prayers and supports of all and sundry while we believe in God Almighty that Mrs. Olayinka Tosin Kayode and her child will regain their freedom and be reunited with their family and the Church of God soon.” 

 

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), Osun State command, Kehinde Adeleke who also confirmed the abduction, said they’ve increased efforts to rescue the woman.
