Osun State Government Announces First Batch of School Employment Candidates

Osogbo, Nigeria – The Osun State Government has officially released the names of the first group of candidates selected for educational positions in public primary and secondary schools throughout the state.

Successful applicants are encouraged to verify their status either online or at designated government offices. These include the Osun State Civil Service Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Teaching Service Commission, and the headquarters of the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board in Osogbo.

The announcement was made in a statement issued Friday by Kolapo Alimi, the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment. According to the release, appointed candidates will be able to collect their letters of appointment starting Monday, March 9, 2026.

“The Osun State Government has released the names of the first batch of successful applicants for immediate recruitment into public primary and secondary schools in the state,” the statement noted. It emphasized the importance of confirming their names through the prescribed channels or visiting designated offices for verification.

Alimi stated that this recruitment initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance the education sector and improve the quality of teaching and learning within public schools.

Governor Ademola Adeleke extended his congratulations to the selected candidates, emphasizing that this opportunity represents a commitment to serve the state. He urged the new recruits to undertake their responsibilities with dedication and professionalism to foster the growth and development of education in Osun.

The governor also thanked all applicants for their patience and engagement throughout the recruitment process.

Additionally, the government reminded successful candidates to complete all required documentation prior to the collection of their appointment letters.
