Oyo fire agency recovers two bodies, rescues one

Two Bodies Recovered from Fatal Accident in Ibadan
IBADAN, Oyo State — The Oyo State Fire Service has recovered two bodies following a tragic accident on Tuesday at the Arapaja Bridge in the Kudeti area of Ibadan, the state capital.
Authorities reported that a Lexus Jeep, registration number KSF297JF, lost control and overturned into a nearby gutter before catching fire. In the aftermath of the incident, one individual was rescued alive.
Honorable Maroof Akinwande, Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service, confirmed the details of the incident in a statement issued Tuesday evening. He noted that the agency recovered the bodies of two deceased males at the scene, which were subsequently handed over to officers from the Mapo Division of the Nigerian Police.
Akinwande attributed the accident to reckless driving and praised the Mapo Divisional headquarters for providing commendable security support during the operation.
