PDP endorses Delta govt’s decision to legislate on gas plant location


Commiserating with households of final Friday’s gasoline explosion at Agbor, PDP’s South-South Nationwide Vice-Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih, mentioned such laws would allow the state authorities to mete stiff penalties on unlawful gasoline plant operators.

He described the gasoline explosion which led to lack of lives and destruction of property as unlucky and mentioned that measures must be taken to control the placement of gasoline crops.

“We consider that such step can even sort out the problem of negligence on the a part of gasoline plant operators. We should take steps to guard the folks,’’ he mentioned.

Orbih counseled the Delta authorities for its immediate intervention and well timed evacuation of victims of the explosion for remedy.

“We pray God to grant the households of the victims the fortitude to bear the loss.

“It’s our sincere enchantment to gasoline crops operators and sellers of different petroleum merchandise to make sure strict adherence to security guidelines and laws,” he confused.
