Oyo State Police Arrest Suspected Kidnapper

The Oyo State Police Command announced the arrest of a suspected kidnapper involved in a recent abduction case. The individual, identified as Ibrahim Sani, was taken into custody following a coordinated response to the kidnapping of Taiwo John, a 40-year-old victim, known by the alias “Ogo Oluwa.”

The police made the announcement in a statement released on Tuesday by Public Relations Officer Olayinka Ayanlade. Ayanlade confirmed that the police not only arrested Sani but also successfully rescued the kidnapped victim during the operation.

The police investigation revealed that Sani and his accomplices attacked Otefon Village and later targeted Amalu Village, both located near Ahorọ Dada. During these attacks, the assailants abducted John and stole an undisclosed amount of money from his wives, along with John’s Android phone.

Ayanlade pointed out that reports from the Ikoyi-Ile Division indicated a continuation of the criminal activities, with a second victim, Usman Amadu, also being abducted in Amalu Village.

Through intelligence-led surveillance and bush combing operations, police operatives intensified their efforts, leading to the unharmed rescue of one victim and the arrest of Sani. The suspect has reportedly confessed to the allegations and is currently cooperating with ongoing investigations aimed at dismantling the wider criminal network.
