Police Arrest Suspected Quack Doctor Operating Illegal Clinic In Ondo –

The Ondo State Police Command has recently apprehended a 25-year-old man, Idris Nasiru, suspected of running an illegal medical clinic in Ore, located in the Ore/Odigbo Local Government Area. This arrest is part of the command’s ongoing efforts to dismantle medical criminal networks throughout the region.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Abayomi Jimoh provided details of the arrest in a statement released on Sunday, emphasizing that it stemmed from intelligence-driven operations conducted by the police’s surveillance team. The operation led authorities to Nasiru’s premises, where they discovered a cache of medical supplies, including injection needles, medical drips, bandages, and various medical kits. A subsequent search of his residence, which was conducted under a court-approved warrant, revealed additional evidence, such as used injection bottles, needles, and syringes.
Preliminary investigations affirmed that Nasiru is not a registered medical practitioner, confirming the illegal nature of his clinic. In custody, he has reportedly provided useful statements, and authorities plan to charge him in court once investigations are complete.
Jimoh emphasized the police’s commitment to fighting medical crimes and urged the community to assist law enforcement by providing credible information. He also advised the public to remain vigilant when seeking medical services to avoid being exploited by unqualified practitioners. The police force reassured residents of their dedication to eradicating all forms of medical criminality in the state.
