Young West Coast player Isiah Winder is being investigated by Victoria Police over an incident in Geelong over the weekend.

The Eagles released a statement to media on Monday evening, saying the club is “aware of an incident in Geelong after the AFL/AFLPA Indigenous and Multicultural Summit”.

“The AFL have been informed of the alleged incident and as this matter is currently under investigation by Victoria Police we are unable to make any further comment,” the statement said.

“The club will fully cooperate with Victoria Police and provide support to Isiah through the investigation.”

Winder attended the four-day Indigenous and Multicultural Players Summit along with more than 100 fellow First Nations players.

The mid-sized forward was taken with pick No.57 in the 2020 AFL draft by the Eagles.

He was delisted by the Eagles at the end of the 2022 season but then was brought back onto the spot last week through the rookie draft.
