Police reacts to video of alleged kidnappers caught in Ago (video)

A viral video shows three suspected kidnappers being questioned after they were allegedly caught at Victory Estate in Ago, Lagos State. 

The men were stripped and flogged by residents. 

During interrogation, the suspects identified themselves as Ifeanyi (from Anambra State), Stanley Emmanuel aka Davido (from Imo State), and Sadiq (from Kwara State). They claimed Davido was the group leader who brought them all together. 

All three suspects admitted they came to the neighbourhood to “kidnap” but vowed not to return to the neighbourhood again.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, reacted to the video after it was shared on X. 

He wrote, “This matter was not reported to the Police. However, investigations have commenced to unravel what truly transpired, locate the men and take further necessary actions. 

“The estate chairman, two other exco members and a resident are currently assisting the Police with the ongoing investigations. Further updates will be provided in due course.”
