Edo State Police Investigate Bullying Incident at Igbinedion Secondary School
The Nigeria Police Force’s Edo State Command has initiated a thorough investigation into a bullying incident that occurred at Igbinedion Secondary School.
The inquiry follows the circulation of a viral video showing two students physically assaulting a third student on school grounds.
In response to the video, the school’s administration announced the expulsion of the two students involved shortly after it gained attention.
Despite these actions, Assistant Superintendent of Police Eno Ikoedem, the Police Public Relations Officer for Edo State, stated on Sunday that the police are committed to proceeding with their investigation.
“The Command wishes to assure the general public that the perpetrators involved in the bullying incident will be arrested and made to face the law according to their respective ages and in accordance with legal guidelines,” Ikoedem said.
The Edo State Police Command condemned bullying, violence, and intimidation among students, emphasizing that any individuals found responsible will be held accountable under the law.
