Lucas Coly, a French-American social media star, has d!ed at the age of 27, his manager confirmed.
The rapper d!ed at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Wednesday night, October 2.
Police have confirmed he d!ed by su!cide.
Paying tribute the following morning, his manager wrote online: “Rest in peace @iamlucascoly I love you bro. My heart is ripped in half. Wait for me up there.
“Being your manager was one of the reasons I stayed here. There’s a hole in my heart right now Lucas. We used to speak on our struggles all the time but smile for the fans.
“So many people hurt us again and again but we had each other. I don’t know what to do now. I’d be a hypocrite if I told you not to, and I go and do the same.”
“Pray for Amber y’all,” he added, referring to Coly’s longtime girlfriend, Amber H.
Confirming he spoke with Coly before he d!ed, the I Discover Stars Entertainment talent manager added: “And for those wondering how I know if it’s true…. 1) I was his longtime manager and 2) because I was on the phone with him moments before.”
He went on to urge people to respect the privacy of Amber and his loved ones, begging people to check in on their friends, regretting that he didn’t “do more” for Coly.
He added: “He loved all of his fans. 2024 has been the worst year of my life. Lucas was more of a brother to me than my client.”
Just hours before his death Coly posted on his Instagram Story.
“I love y’all,” he wrote, followed by an orange heart emoji.
The musician was born in France and immigrated to the United States at the age of eight. He and Amber were catapulted to fame thanks to their joint YouTube channel, which was last updated two years ago.
In 2016, he released the song I Just Wanna, for which he became best known.
