Spurs could allegedly make a bid for the 24-year-old if they get the impression that he is genuinely open to a new challenge.

Central midfield is an area where Nuno Espirito Santo will want to improve. It won’t be a priority for the Tottenham boss, however.

Meanwhile, Fabio Paritici has allegedly identified the engine room as a department where Spurs could definitely improve.

Tottenham strongly interested in Franck Kessie

Eurosport reckon that the north London outfit could submit an offer for the Ivory Coast midfielder if they believe he is open to leaving AC Milan this summer.

Kessie seems to be ideally suited to the robust and intense nature of the Premier League.

He has energy in abundance, is tenacious in the tackle and is a really dynamic midfield player.

The Ivorian enjoyed the best campaign of his career last season, racking up 13 goals and six assists in 37 Serie A games for Milan.

The 24-year-old was recently valued at around €50 million (£45 million) according to Milan Live. With just one year left on his contract, however, that price-tag will surely drop.

In fact, The Express claims that £30 million could be the fee required to prise him away from the San Siro.

That would represent decent value for Tottenham. Kessie would improve Nuno’s central midfield department immeasurably.
