Men’s Runner of the Week

 Da’Marcus Fleming, LSU

Fleming, registered a pair of NCAA-leading times last week at the Hurricane Invitational. He placed first in the 100m with a time of 10.13 (+2.0) to rank first nationally. He was also a member of the winning 4x100m relay team that placed first in 39.02. That time also leads the nation.

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week

 Tzuriel Pedigo, LSU

Pedigo, placed first in the javelin throw at the Hurricane Invitational with a mark of 74.54m/244-7. That ranks second in the nation and first in the SEC.

Men’s Freshman of the Week

 Jordan Turner, Kentucky

Turner, was runner-up in the long jump at the UCF Black & Gold Invite with a personal best of 7.76m/25-5.50. His wind-assisted jump currently ranks third in the NCAA and improved the UK all-time freshman record, breaking Derrick Locke’s UK outdoor freshman record set in 2008.

Women’s Runner of the Week

 Alia Armstrong, LSU

Armstrong, recorded two NCAA-leading times last weekend at the Hurricane Invitational. In her first meet back since the first meet of indoor season, Armstrong took first in the 100mh with a time of 13.06 (+1.9). She then was part of the 4×100 relay team that placed first among collegians with a time of 44.02. Her hurdles time and 4×100 team time both rank first in the nation and SEC.

Women’s Co-Field Athlete of the Week

 Sophia Rivera, Missouri

Rivera, broke the school record and won the javelin throw at the Yellow Jacket Invitational with a mark of 57.67m/189-2. It is a personal best for the Missouri senior, and she ranks No. 1 in the NCAA.

 Anthaya Charlton, Kentucky

Charlton, recorded two wins in both the long jump and the 100 meter dash with personal bests in both competitions at the UCF Black & Gold Invite. Her wind-assisted jump of 6.61 meters improved the UK all-time freshman record breaking Sha’Keela Saunders jump of 21’1.25″/6.43 meters placed in 2014. Charlton also currently leads the NCAA in the category.

Women’s Freshman of the Week

 Sylvia Chelangat, South Carolina

Chelangat, earned a pair of golds and aided the Gamecocks in picking up 20 combined points between the two events at the Island Relays Bahamas. Chelangat ran the second fastest outdoor 800m in Gamecock history (2:05.99) and currently ranks first in the East Region and first in the NCAA. Later in the day, she was part of the 4x800m relay squad that ran the fifth fastest 4x800m relay in program history with a winning time of 8:56.91.
