SEC Teams to Compete in Women’s College World Series

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama and Georgia are among the eight teams set to compete in the 2021 Women’s College World Series, which will take place June 3-9 at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium – OG&E Energy Field in Oklahoma City, Okla.

This year marks the 13th trip to the WCWS for Alabama (50-7) and the fifth trip for Georgia (34-21). The Crimson Tide was the SEC’s automatic qualifier after winning the 2021 SEC Softball Tournament, and won five consecutive games in the NCAA Regional and Super Regional in Tuscaloosa. The Bulldogs have also won five consecutive games in the postseason, with three coming in the Athens Regional and two in the Gainesville Super Regional.
