Sexual harassment: ‘My face would be bolder if it’s Natasha’ – Umahi

Umahi Responds to Sexual Harassment Allegation
Minister of Works Dave Umahi addressed allegations of sexual harassment made by a woman identified as Tracy Nither Ohiri during a press conference on Saturday.
Umahi stated that if the accusation had been made by Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, a senator from Kogi Central, it would carry more weight. He emphasized that the claim is not credible and suggested it is merely an issue for social media.
The minister’s comments come in response to assertions from critics who allege that he failed to compensate Ohiri for work due to her rejection of his advances. Umahi defended his reputation, saying, “I want to thank a lot of you who know me very well. I owe nobody. I presided over both men and women, and nobody ever said I harassed him or her.”
He also mentioned his tenure as governor, asserting that he oversaw significant infrastructure development and dismissed the allegations as unfounded. “If it’s Senator Natasha that said I’m chasing her, my face would be bolder. It’s just for social media, but I think we can turn our attention to the war in Iran and allow Umahi to rest,” he concluded.
