After a fan page shared a throwback clip of the “S.O.S.” singer from 2020, another fan mentioned her BBL surgery and weight gain. The comment drew a response from SZA, who opened up about the toll such remarks have taken on her.

SZA shared that the COVID-19 pandemic was a particularly challenging period for her, marked by the loss of her grandmother and a struggle with depression. She admitted that comments about her appearance have contributed to her decision to distance herself from fans, despite their loyalty.

The singer also revealed she’s making her circle smaller, including changing her phone number to maintain boundaries. This may make it even tougher for outsiders to secure tickets to her highly anticipated GNX Tour.

On a brighter note, SZA has reconciled with TDE President Terrence “Punch” Henderson after a minor clash. Her “Lana” deluxe album continues to dominate the charts, cementing her place as a top artist heading into the new year.
