Six SEC football teams ranked in preseason Coaches Poll

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Aug. 10, 2021)—–Six Southeastern Conference football teams are ranked in the top-25 of the preseason USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll released Tuesday. The SEC leads all conferences with its six teams in the top-25.

Alabama is ranked No. 1, followed by Georgia at No. 5, Texas A&M at No. 6, Florida at No. 11, LSU at No. 13, and Ole Miss at No. 25.

All 14 SEC schools are scheduled to open the 2021 season the weekend of Sept. 4. Tennessee will face Bowling Green is the SEC’s first game of the season on Sept. 2.
