Scores of Suspected Kidnappers Arrested in Kwara State

Olayinka, Kwara State – Authorities arrested numerous suspected kidnappers Tuesday evening along the Ajasepo/Igbaja/Oke-Ode highway in Ifelodun Local Government Area, according to reports from DAILY POST.

The arrests occurred after intelligence indicated that informants affiliated with local bandits were posing as beggars throughout the Kwara South Senatorial District.

Zubair Olaitan, the coordinator for the Joint Security Watch Kwara South Senatorial District, confirmed the details of the operation on Wednesday. He stated that the ongoing initiative aims to enhance safety and reduce crime across the region.

“We received information that bandits from Baba Sango and Oro-Ago are extending their reach into other areas of Kwara South,” Olaitan noted.

He also mentioned that one of the informants was apprehended in Igbaja, revealing that his associates were operating from Kaara Market, Ajasepo, and Olayinka near Oke-Ode. The suspect has since been transferred to the Anti-Kidnapping Squad for further investigation.

Security measures in the area continue to be reinforced as part of the efforts to combat criminal activity in Kwara State.
