The country music star Zach Bryan is apologizing for disrespecting police officers as they arrested him on Thursday night, admitting that he “was out of line in the things I said.”

Bryan Apologizes After Arrest

NBC News reported that Bryan, 27, was arrested in Vinita, Oklahoma on Thursday evening for obstructing an investigation. After being released from jail on bond, Bryan took to social media to apologize to the officers who arrested him for how he treated them.

“Today I had an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Emotions got the best of me and I was out of line in the things I said,” Bryan wrote on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

“I support law enforcement as much as anyone can, I was just frustrated in the moment, it was unlike me and I apologize,” he added. “They brought me to jail, and there is a mug shot of me floating around.”

“Prayers we can all move on from this and prayers people know I’m just trying the best I can, I love you guys and I am truly sorry to the officers,” Bryan concluded.

Bryan Opens Up About Arrest

Page Six reported that Bryan doubled down on this in a video shared on his Instagram Story.

“I was an idiot today,” he said in the video. “My decisions did not reflect who I was as a person. I just want to make that clear. I should’ve been smarter about it.”

Bryan went on to say that he was driving through a small town in his home state “about three days ago” when he sped past a trooper, who responded by pulling him over and asking for his license, registration and address.

“I said, ‘Hey, man, I don’t really feel comfortable giving you my address. I’m a musician,’” he recounted. “He says, ‘If you don’t give me your address, I’m gonna have to take you to jail.’”

Bryan finally gave the officer his address after being told to get out of his vehicle so he could be handcuffed, and he was then freed.

“He gave me a warning ’cause I wasn’t going too fast or anything,” Bryan continued.

Bryan ran into this same officer on Thursday while he was trying to travel to Boston for the Philadelphia Eagles’ season opener against the New England Patriots that is scheduled for this weekend. Around 40 minutes into his road trip, he saw the officer pulling over his security guard, who was in a separate vehicle trailing him.

“Ten to 15 minutes go by, and I get out of the car, and I’m like, ‘Man, what is taking so long?’ And I was gonna smoke a cigarette,” Bryan recalled. “The cop comes up to me, and he’s like, ‘Sir, get back in your vehicle.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m not the one getting pulled over.’ He’s like, ‘Get back in your vehicle or I’m gonna have to take you to jail.’ And like a dumbass, I said, ‘Take me to f–kin’ jail? What do you mean?’”

“So I get too lippy with him,” he admitted. “He brings me over to his car, and I just didn’t help my situation at all. I felt like a child. It was ridiculous. It was immature. And I just pray everyone knows that I don’t think I’m above the law. I was just being disrespectful, and I shouldn’t have been, and it was my mistake.”

‘I Just Wanted To Apologize To The Trooper’

Bryan, whose new self-titled album became his first to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 just a few days ago, confessed that he began “mouthing off like an idiot” as he was handcuffed because he thought the cuffs were too “tight.”

“[The cop] says, ‘Hey, man, I’m gonna tell you this: Don’t interrupt me.’ And I was like, ‘Well, after you’re done, I’m gonna say my piece.’ He started talking, and I interrupted him — naturally, ’cause I’m just angry,” Bryan said.

Bryan concluded by assuring his fans that he “eventually shook hands” with the arresting officer after he had his mugshot taken.

“I just wanted to apologize to the trooper — both troopers — that I was rude to,” he concluded. “You didn’t deserve it, and hopefully one day we meet under difference circumstances.”

It seems that Bryan learned a very important life lesson yesterday. While we don’t condone the way he treated this officer, we applaud him for being able to own up to his mistake right away. Here’s hoping that Bryan never treats another member of law enforcement this way again!

Former Big Brother Naija star, Tacha has called out the organisers of the 2023 Headies.

Naija News reports the 16th Headies Award took place in Atlanta, Georgia, for the second consecutive year on Sunday, September 3, 2023.

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer, Spyro on Sunday stunned the crowd at the 16th Headies Award after going down on his knees to give God praises after his award presentation.

Donald Trump blasts Meghan Markle for

Former US president,  Donald Trump has slammed Meghan Markle over her treatment of the Queen, insisting that she was ‘very disrespectful’ to Her Majesty.

In a clip of the sit-down, which will air at 7 pm on GB News tonight, Trump questioned the treatment of Her Majesty by Meghan.

The former US President also said he was ‘surprised’ Prince Harry was invited to his father’s Coronation after the public falling out between the Sussexes and the Royal family.

Speaking to former UKIP leader Nigel Farage on GB News, Trump revealed he had high hopes for the big day on Saturday and gave King Charles his full backing saying the monarch ‘loves the country’.

He also paid tribute to the late-Queen Elizabeth II, calling her ‘incredible’ and praising her for going through ‘years and decades without controversy’.

He said: ‘I think she [Meghan] has been very disrespectful to the Queen. How can you be so disrespectful to the Queen?

‘She [the Queen] was incredible, for decades and decades she never made a mistake. I cannot think of a mistake she made, she was never controversial.’

He added: ‘You cannot be disrespectful to her and I think Meghan was very disrespectful to her, very disrespectful.’

He went on to say he agreed with Farage when he said the Queen was ‘the most popular human being in the world’.

Trump also said he had high hopes for the Coronation itself and the reign of King Charles.

He said: ‘I think it’s going to be a great day, I think they will do a great job and he [Charles] loves the country. I got to know him [Charles] quite well and he loves the country, really loves the country and he loved his mother.

‘That’s why I thought she was treated so disrespectfully by Meghan and [there was] just no reason to do that.

‘I was actually surprised that Harry was invited, to be honest.’

It’s not the first time Trump has lashed out at Prince Harry and his wife – in 2021 he said the Duke had been ‘used horribly’ by Meghan and said he wasn’t a fan of the former actress.

He said: ‘I’m not a fan of hers. I wasn’t from day one. I think Harry has been used horribly and I think some day he will regret it. I think Harry’s been used and been used terribly. I think it’s ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen.’

Speaking of the duchess, he added: ‘I think she’s been very disrespectful to the Queen, who’s such a great woman, such a great person, a historic person. I think she’s very disrespectful to the Royal Family and most importantly to the Queen.’

According to Samini, Sarkodie refused to reply to his messages after their earlier chats about a feature.

After sending him the songs, he revealed that Sarkodie stopped replying to his messages. Samini said he felt disrespected.

Sarkodie however responded to the comment on a Hitz FM interview on Tuesday saying Samini’s utterances must have come from a “certain place” for which he would need more details.

“Him feeling like that, I don’t have any control over that. I can only say sorry about how he feels, not necessarily because I agree with everything he is saying, but because that’s how he feels,” Sarkodie indicated

Shatta Wale however is among few Ghanaians who think Sarkodie could have responded better than the way he did.

According to Shatta, Samini is Sarkodie’s ‘father’ who pave the way for him and it will always be like that adding that Sark must therefore not forget that and give him that due respect.

Shatta Wale who was speaking in a Facebook Live session on Saturday, January 28 was not happy with how Sarkodie keeps ignoring artists who once supported him in the past.

“How can Samini and Sarkodie be fighting? Samini and Sarkodie shouldn’t be fighting but ask yourself why? Right now Sarkodie feels like he has the people so he has forgotten about Samini.

“Hey Sarkodie, Samini be your father, forever and ever. Hey Sarkodie, Samini be your legend, icon, superstar forever and ever. Forget everything, I have a beef with him but even with that, I give him respect. Forget yourself, nonsense!” he said.

Shatta added that he was displeased with the turn of events at Hitz FM when Samini was called on the phone during Sarkodie’s interview with Andy Dosty.

He noted that Sarkodie should have accorded Samini respect by shutting up to hear him speak instead of defending his action.

Shatta added: “He (Samini) is talking to you on the radio as your father…you see what fame can cause? You guys play with everything…Samini is the guy that when he is speaking on radio, you have to shut up and listen because he has been on that forkin journey. The road he (Samini) has cleared for some of us to enjoy mustn’t be taken for granted. It is very nonsense and stupid something. It is not your fault but those 12 people in the music industry.”

Earlier dancehall musician, Samini called out his colleague Sarkodie for been ungrateful’, ‘disrespectful and fake after a Twitter user had asked Samini if there was ever a chance of him hitting the studio with Sarkodie again.

According to Samini, he is no longer has intentions of working with rapper Sarkodie on a song following the disrespect from his colleague.
