[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] It’s such a long time since I’ve seen a new neck cream. I think perhaps that mostly we are just extending our face care down rather than buying specific ‘area’ creams but there will have been plenty of market research to assess whether or not there is a customer base for this type of cream.

L’Occitane Immortelle Neck Care Serum-in-Cream Review

Looking at this purely as a cream specifically for the neck area rather than whether you actually need a separate product (I’m sceptical), it has surprised me from the get go. One of my bug bears is that creams and SPFs tend to just sit on the neck skin and in hot weather that’s unpleasant. I can’t stand the feel of sweaty neck when it’s too hot and you’ve slathered up. The L’Occitane Immortelle Neck Care Serum-in-Cream is super lightweight and does not ‘sit’ making it a very easy wear product. It’s interesting that the packaging contains the words, ‘Formulated for the neck. Do not use on the face’ and for the life of me I cannot think why when you consider what products (retinols and peels, for example) people will use on their faces.

L’Occitane Immortelle Neck Care Serum-in-Cream Review

Hopefully you can tell how light the formula is from the picture. L’Occitane uses shea and immortelle essential oil from sustainable sources (they’re B Corp certified) partnered with hyaluronic acid and peptides in this mix. I like it – I don’t know if anyone needs it but I like the formula, I like the non-sweaty feel of it and gosh, I am tempted to put it on my face to see what will befall me ;-). I like the Immortelle range – one of my favourite products of all time is the Overnight Reset Serum (HERE). The L’Occitane Immortelle Neck Care Serum-in-Cream is £52 HERE.

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] If you are in the mood for a proper treat, the last time I felt a balm texture like the L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Cleansing Balm was with Sisley at £96 per pot. Yikes – lovely, but I cannot. This one is that next level melty – soft and almost liquid on the skin.

L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Cleansing Balm

It is, in fact, a balm to oil formula which gives it this near fluffiness in the pot and then the liquidity on the skin. It’s both a make up remover and a skin cleanser – oh, I forgot – it’s also a nourishing face mask! You can use it once a week or so for a good old skin drench. The Immortelle range does very well for L’Occitane – it certainly draws you in because it looks so vibrant but if your skin lacks suppleness or is tight, it’s for you.

L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Cleansing Balm

Look at that, barely holding itself upright on the spoon! Yum. Some things are more of a pleasure to test than others and this balm was a delight – it did exactly what I hoped it would and left a film of softening hydration behind it as well as completely cleaning my skin. I see on the ingredient that it contains perfume but I really can’t smell anything much from this – maybe just a kind of oily aroma but nothing identifiable. This is a recommend from me if you like a balm cleanse – it’s £39 HERE (and qualifies for free delivery). It’s not for you if you prefer a squeaky clean feel on your skin after cleansing.
