Nigerian singer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, popularly known as Iyanya, has opened up on suffering a huge loss on the microblogging platform, Twitter, after the cheating allegation of his ex-Ghanaian girlfriend, actress Yvonne Nelson.
Naija News recalls that Yvonne in her latest book ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ claimed that her relationship with Iyanya crashed after she found out that the singer was cheating on her with Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh.
In a recent interview with GHOne TV, Iyanya said he received several threats after the Ghanaian thespian alleged that his infidelity was the reason for their breakup.
The singer said he also lost almost 10,000 Ghanaian followers because of Yvonne’s allegations.
The ‘Kukere’ crooner noted that the tweet he made in the wake of the allegation that he was going to tell his side of the story on what led to their break up was just a momentary outburst.
Iyanya added that he doesn’t like talking about the flaws of his ex.
He said, “When Yvonne [Nelson] said I broke her heart, I was in my room and I just saw a post, ‘Iyanya cheated on me.’
“I remember that day, I was looking at my Twitter, I lost almost 10,000 Ghanaian followers. And I was getting threats and all of that”
Popular Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has reacted to actress Yvonne Nelson’s claim that he made her abort a pregnancy .
Naija News reports this comes a few days after the thespian in her recently published memoir, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” claimed that the Ghanaian rapper impregnated her and told her to abort the pregnancy.
‘He said no’ Yvonne detailed in a chapter of her book where she said “I wasn’t the only one responsible for the situation, so I called the man whose potent seed had germinated in me. His name is Michael Owusu Addo, a renowned Ghanaian musician who is better known as Sarkodie”.
“Sarkodie was a budding musician with the potential to become one of the biggest artists in Ghana and beyond. At the time, however, the future looked uncertain, and his way through the maze of life still appeared too foggy to predict. Success was not guaranteed. He was still living with his mother and was not ready to carry a burden while he was being carried by his mother,” she added.
Sarkodie, in a song titled ‘Try Me,’ said he wasn’t the one that asked for the abortion even though he wasn’t financially ready.
He revealed that Yvonne Nelson said she couldn’t have kept it because she was in school then.
“I never thought I was going on this wave, cause I was ready to take a couple of things to my grave. First of all, let me clap for you baby you are brave but you can’t pick and choose what to say pls behave, nobody sent you so Ohemaa if you want to talk, you have to tell the world every n*gga that you f*cked” Sarkodie rapped.
He continues that “I am not going to sit here and lie we had a thing, first I thought we were cool till I had a hint… You told me you were pregnant and I was the one to be blamed … yes I wasn’t ready but I told you to keep it and you explained that you have to complete your school.”
Responding to Sarkodie, Yvonne Nelson, via her Twitter handle on Wednesday, expressed disappointment that the rapper rubbished the pain her younger self felt.
She said:“In my book, I narrated how you got me pregnant , how you couldn’t wait for me to get rid of it. How you drove me to have an abortion. As usual, you want to use rap to rubbish a pain a young woman felt. We both have daughters, let see what life throws at them.”

Tracy Owusu Addo, the wife of Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, has shared a new video on social media after the explosive revelations of actress Yvonne Nelson.
Naija News reported that the thespian in her released memoir, ‘I am Not Yvonne Nelson’ revealed that she aborted a pregnancy from a fling with Sarkodie in 2010.
The 37-year-old’s book which launched in Ghana on Sunday, narrated the incident on pages 88-95 of chapter eight of her new book.
Yvonne wrote, “I had gone for a pregnancy test to confirm what becomes the most obvious conclusion for a sexually active young woman who misses her monthly flow. I was in the company of Karen. And when the test result was ready, I wasn’t strong enough to open it. She did and declared the verdict. Charlie, it dey there”
However, Tracy who seemed unbothered about Yvonne’s bombshell took to her Instagram page to celebrate World Refugees Day, while promoting a programme of the UN Refugee Agency.
In the video, Sarkodie’s wife who was captured introducing herself as she puts her left hand on her chest, flaunting her beautiful wedding ring.

Iyanya’s romance with Yvonne hit the rocks in 2015 after the pair began dating in July 2012 and were spotted together at functions.
Responding to the actress’s claim, the musician in a tweet on Monday said that he would speak on it at a later date but not in a book.
“So Yvonne Nelson said I cheated on her with Tonto Dike? Oh wow. I’ll respond to this later. I no go write book, but….For now make I go watch my new video Director just send me now. Love & Trust Ft Joeboy,” he tweeted.
On Yvonne’s allegation that she aborted a pregnancy after being intimate with Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, Iyanya said, “Isn’t this too much information? Is this also in the book?”
