Cassie has been spotted together with her husband for the first time since she filed a lawsuit against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

 

 

The 37-year-old singer joined her partner, Alex Fine, and their two kids for a family outing and early birthday meal for their eldest daughter at Serendipity 3 in New York City on Saturday, November 2.

She and her husband were celebrating Frankie’s fourth birthday ahead of the actual date on December 6.

 

The couple were seen enjoying a meal in adorable snaps with Frankie and Sunny, two, in photos obtained by Page Six.

 

 

According to the snaps, the Me & U singer, who visited her parents in her hometown in Connecticut over a week ago bundled up in a colorful Christmas sweater for the special occasion.

She showed off her natural beauty in a barefaced look during their family outing. 

 

 

A source also told the outlet that she would often put on an affectionate display and rest her head on her husband’s shoulder throughout their meal.

 

Just weeks earlier on November 16, it was reported that Cassie had filed a lawsuit against her ex and accused him of rape, physical abuse and sex trafficking during their decade-long relationship.

 

 

According to the legal documents, she claimed that Diddy, 54, ‘was prone to uncontrollable rage, and frequently beat Ms. Ventura savagely.’ 

 

 

The bombshell lawsuit was dismissed just a day later when she reached a settlement with the rapper with whom Cassie had an on-off relationship from 2007 to 2018.

 

 

In a statement shared with Page Six on November 17, she said: ‘I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control.

 

 

‘I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support,’ she added.

 

Diddy gave a similar separate statement around the same time.

 

‘We have decided to resolve this matter amicably,’ the record producer stated. ‘I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.’

 

 

Following her split with Diddy in 2018, she started dating her now-husband.

 

 

Less than a year after going public with her romance with the personal trainer, Ventura and Fine tied the knot in August 2019.

 

 

They welcomed their first baby, daughter Frankie, two months after their wedding. 

 

 

Their second daughter, Sunny, was born in March 2021.

Sage Steele Leaving ESPN After Settling Lawsuit

One of the stranger ESPN sagas in recent memory came to a close today as SportsCenter anchor Sage Steele announced she was leaving the four-letter network now that her legal issues with the company are over. Last spring Steele sued ESPN for violating her free speech rights, and after a year of battle in court (during which Steele stayed on-air) the two sides agreed to settle.

Steele said she would be leaving to find a place where she can exercise her First Amendment rights “more freely”.

The terms of the settlement have not been revealed. Earlier this summer, Front Office Sports reported Steele turned down a settlement offer worth over $500,000 and her attorney Bryan Freedman aggressively rebuffed the offer with a public statement to the New York Post:

“Disney and ESPN clearly admit their liability by offering to pay Sage Steele more than half a million dollars for taking away her right to free speech. The offer misses the point. Disney cannot purchase their employee’s constitutional rights no matter how powerful they think they are,” Freedman told The Post in a statement.

It is unclear what changed between then and now but an apology from ESPN and/or Disney doesn’t seem to be in the cards.

It was terribly weird turning on the TV and seeing Steele with the knowledge she was locked in a legal battle with her employer. A unique situation that we may never see again. Several places come to mind immediately as opportunities for Steele to engage in what she believes to be her First Amendment rights, but both sides are undoubtedly glad to put this all behind them.

Popular Nigerian singer, Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua professionally known as Seyi Shay has revealed that she is married.

Naija News gathered that the mother of one opened up about being married in a recent interview with ‘Blank Digital’ when she was asked by a fan about her white wedding.

According to the singer even though she never had plans to get married, she only wanted to have kids, and plans changed along the line.

She explained that she eventually changed her mind because marriage felt right at the time and she went ahead with it.

The singer however did not mention where and when it took place as she only admitted that to the fan who asked that a white wedding had already taken place.

Seyi Shay was quoted to have said “My white wedding already happened. I’m a married woman.

“Okay, so, I’ve been cuffed. I think he will say he’s been cuffed.

”But, we already did that and it was lovely, beautiful. And I never really wanted to get married, really. My whole life, I just wanted to have a kid.

Man killed while settling N700 dispute

A 59-year-old security guard Bamiduro Adewulo has been stoned to death by his ‘Personal Assistant’ Fumilayo Asojo while settling a dispute over an N700 debt.

 

Adewulo who sustained injuries after being stoned while settling a dispute between Asojo and another man over N700, was rushed to the hospital where he died two days later.

 

Brother of the deceased, Adewole told the police that Asojo struck a stone on his boss’ head after he appealed to him to let go. 

 

He said; 

 

“I did not believe it until I saw Duro’s lifeless body at the mortuary.

“The accused was known all over the town to be the Personal Assistant to the deceased.” 

 

Asojo who has now been arraigned on one count bordering on murder, committed the offence on December 28, 2022, at Ute in Owo Local Government area of Ondo State.

 

Presiding Magistrate, R.O Yakubu, did not take the plea of the defendant over the offence which contravened sections 319 and 355 of the Criminal Code Law, Cap 37 Vol. II Laws of Ondo State, 2006.

 

Shortly after remanding the defendant at Olokuta Correctional Centre, pending advice from the DPP, Yakubu adjourned the case till March 19 for mention.
