Tiger Woods is playing golf for the first time since he withdrew from the Masters right now down at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas. And we don’t want to overreact but … holy smokes, does he look good. At 47 years-old and sporting various bionic parts — ankle, back, leg — Woods strode to the first tee and blasted the longest drive of the tournament to that point, 326 yards right in the juicy part of the fairway.

Woods slid a 13-foot birdie opportunity to the left once he reached the green. On the next hole, a par-3, he found the bunker and faced a nine-footer to save par, which he drained. His first birdie came on No. 3 when he one-putted again.

After bogeying No. 4 he came blazing back with another bird to get back under par as his flat stick stayed hot.

With all responsible caveats issued, it doesn’t feel completely insane to say that this version of Woods looks, unscientifically, seven million times better than the one that was limping and gritting his teeth through every tournament he played pre- his latest surgery. That alone is something to celebrate. Because honestly there was no guarantee that we’d ever see him this healthy ever again.

What does it mean? Well, likely nothing. He still has 67 holes to play this weekend and we’ll have to see how his body holds up. It’s impossible to be too confident a pesky physical ding isn’t going to rear its ugly head. But good Lord is it fun to watch him play like this, even for an hour a year. It’s not an overreaction to say he looks like a completely different player out there. Like he might actually be enjoying the round instead of enduring it.

These are baby steps on his latest incredible comeback story. We admit that. Yet they look so much easier to take that it’s okay to get excited about the idea of him hanging around the top of a leaderboard at some point this coming season. If he appears this capable now, it stands to reason it’ll look even better in four-plus months when he lands in Augusta.

Fun stuff.

Update: Maine mass shooter who murdered 18 people is found dead in the woods with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head

Maine mass shooter, Robert Card,  who murdered 18 people at a bowling alley, has been found dead in the woods with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head, ending a 48-hour manhunt involving over 300 members of law enforcement.

Androscoggin sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook: ‘The suspect in Wednesday night’s shootings has been located and is deceased.’

Card, 40, was found at 7:45pm near Lisbon Falls, where his car was abandoned shortly after Wednesday’s massacre. His body was reportedly located near a recycling plant from where he was recently fired.

Update: Maine mass shooter who murdered 18 people is found dead in the woods with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head

In a statement, Mike Sauschuck, the commander of Maine’s department of Public Safety confirmed his death.

‘There continues to be a lot of work that needs to be done here at the scene, and a lot to follow up on,’ said Sauschuck.

Sauschuck confirmed that he is believed to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

He added that a hunting ban in the area has now been lifted. Saturday marks the start of the deer hunting season, and is a key date in Maine’s calendar.

The White House released a statement saying the past two days have been ‘tragic’ for the entire country.

‘This has been a tragic two days – not just for Lewiston, Maine, but for our entire country,’ President Joe Biden said in a statement released Friday.

‘Once again, an American community and American families have been devastated by gun violence.

‘In all, at least eighteen souls brutally slain, more injured, some critically, and scores of family and friends praying and experiencing trauma no one ever wants to imagine.

‘Numerous brave law enforcement officers have worked around the clock to find this suspect and prevent the loss of more innocent life – all while risking their own. They are the best of us.

‘Tonight we’re grateful that Lewiston and surrounding communities are safe after spending excruciating days hiding in their homes.

‘I thank Governor Janet Mills for her steady leadership during this time of crisis, and continue to direct my administration to provide everything that is needed to support the people of Maine.

‘Americans should not have to live like this. I once again call on Republicans in Congress to fulfill their obligation to keep the American people safe. Until that day comes, I will continue to do everything in my power to end this gun violence epidemic.

‘The Lewiston community – and all Americans – deserve nothing less.’

The shelter-in-place order was lifted on Friday, before the discovery of Card’s body was announced.

Meanwhile, cellphones across the Lewiston area dinged with a public safety alert shortly after the news broke: ‘The search is over for Mr. Card.

The caution is over. Hunting may resume.’

Janet Mills, governor of Maine, said on Friday night she was ‘breathing a sigh of relief knowing Card is no longer a threat to anyone.’

She added: ‘Tonight the city of Lewiston and the people of Maine begin to move forward on a long process of healing – but we will heal, together.’

Eighteen people died when Card, an army reservist who had suffered a recent mental breakdown, opened fire at a bowling alley and bar in Lewiston.

Card went on the run, leaving his car and cell phone behind and sparking a 48-hour manhunt.

‘So happy this nightmare is over,’ said John Riordan, who lives near the scene.

He told the Sun Journal: ‘Hopefully the families can get some closure. It will be nice to get back to some state of normalcy.’

The Oscar-nominated actor James Woods, who has long been one of the only openly conservative stars in Hollywood, spoke out this week to blast President Joe Biden for his incoherent press conference that he gave alongside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv, Israel on Wednesday.

Woods Fires Back At Biden

Biden embarrassed America by mumbling incoherently during the press conference, adding more credence to the claims that he may be suffering from dementia. Woods took to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to call out Biden for this.

“His cognitive abilities are crippled beyond dispute, and to belittle that is unfair,” Woods wrote of Biden. “However, BEFORE his dementia was palpable, he was a horrible human being and a crooked worthless political hack.”

“That ugly person is still under there somewhere, and he’s at the helm of the most powerful nation on earth,” he added. “We are minutes from the end on the Doomsday Clock with this soulless fool in charge. He has GOT to go. Literally the fate of mankind is at stake.”

Not stopping there, Woods proceeded to double down in another post.

“How embarrassing that this flickering dim bulb sits with a real world leader and reads 5×7 note cards written by some genders studies major interning at the White House?” he continued. “Couldn’t he have done this on a zoom call from his basement?”

Woods then took Biden to task for using the vague euphemism “other team” when referring to the terrorists that are currently attacking Israel.

“Did he actually call the terrorists responsible for beheaded children, slaughtered families, and raped Israeli women ‘the other team?’ The “OTHER TEAM????’” a livid Woods wrote. “This ignorant bumbling nincompoop has got to go, before the world becomes a nuclear wasteland.”

Biden’s Press Conference Fail

Daily Mail reported that this came after Biden appeared to bizarrely lose his train of thought during his press conference with Netanyahu.

“You know, years ago I asked the secretary of State when he and I were working in the Senate to write something for me and he wrote a line that I think is appropriate,” Biden began. “He said, ‘It’s not we lead, not just …’ uhhh, well I won’t go into it. I’ll wait ’til later. Taking too much time.”

Biden is set to turn 81 next month, and should he be re-elected, he’ll be 82 by the time he’s sworn in. A damning poll released back in August found that 77 percent of Americans believe Biden won’t be effective for four more years, including 69 percent of Democrats.

A NewsNation/Decision Desk HQ poll released last month found that 52.21 percent of voters were “very concerned” about Biden’s cognitive abilities, with just 38.22 percent saying the same for the former President Donald Trump.

‘Americans Are No Longer Safe’ Under Biden

Despite this, Woods is one of the only stars in Hollywood who has the guts to publicly speak out against Biden. Yesterday, Woods took to X to respond to Biden’s State Department telling Americans overseas to be on the lookout for “potential terrorist attacks.”

“Under Joe Biden’s rule Americans are no longer safe anywhere in the world,” Woods wrote. “And, of course, they are already unsafe in any major city at home. Elections have consequences.”

Elections do indeed have consequences. We applaud Woods for continuing to try and make sure that Biden does not win in 2024.

Police close road for 31 hours after a s3x doll is mistaken for a dad body dumped in woods

Police in the UK closed off a road for 31 hours after a walker found a ‘dead body in wood, only to discover it was a ‘dirty and overused’ sex doll someone had dumped.

The ‘crime scene’ in Kineton, Warwickshire, was cordoned off by police and a forensic pathologist was called in to investigate after what appeared to be a hand and foot were spotted in undergrowth by a country lane.

Police later disclosed what they thought was a female corpse wasn’t human remains but a ‘realistic’ inflatable love aid, which could be worth up to £1,500.

A local source told The Sun: ‘The police thought they had a murder investigation on their hands so called in a forensics team.’

‘When they finally dragged the ‘corpse’ out they realised the blunder. The officers had a big laugh about it. It was a very dirty, broken and overused sex doll,’ they added.

Officers were said to be hunting for clues from midday on Tuesday to 7pm the following evening.

Warwickshire Police said it had followed ‘proper procedure’.

A spokesperson added: ‘It is with great relief that we can announce the pathologist was able to identify the foot and hand beneath the bush did in fact belong to a discarded and realistic life-size doll.’

Some speculated the sex doll had been placed in the woods as a practical joke.

16-year-old girl and her brothers

A 16-year-old Swedish girl has been accused of luring a taxi driver into a secluded forest and killing him by hanging in revenge after he allegedly r@ped her as a 14-year-old.

She and her four brothers, aged between 16 to 18, are on trial in Sweden’s Uppsala District Court accused of murdering the 26-year-old taxi driver.

The four brothers deny all charges against them, but the girl admitted that she lured him to the secluded area, thinking he would be beaten up.

The girl allegedly texted the taxi driver, who has not yet been named, asking him to meet her with a bottle of vodka in a car park near the Hjälstavikens nature reserve in southeast Sweden in March.

After the pair met, the four brothers allegedly strangled the man and hanged him with a noose made up of rope that they brought with them, Swedish newspaper Fria Tider reported.

Prosecutors said that this likely would’ve led to him severely suffering in his final moments alive.

Several search parties were sent out to find the taxi driver who was only found several weeks after his car was spotted hidden in a nearby snowdrift.

Local police said they found the defendants’ DNA both in the murdered man’s car and on the rope used to hang him.

On top of this, records revealed they had transferred money from his bank accounts to their own.

Cops also allegedly found some of his belongings in their home, the Swedish publication reported.

Prosecutors said that the main motive for the alleged murder was revenge, as the girl had made a report about the driver allegedly raping her in February 2022 that was not followed up on.

The brothers reportedly told several of their friends that they would be killing a rapist, and told them that they had done so after the deed was done.

Andreas Pallinder, head of investigations at the Uppsala police at a press conference, admitted that his force should’ve taken her rape report seriously.

‘If you take it to its extreme, theoretically we could have prevented a murder,’ he said.

Prosecutors also believed that there may have been a financial motive for the killing, as his money and belongings were missing. This line of inquiry was later dropped as it was judged to be vague.

Ebru Tok, a lawyer representing the murdered man’s family, previously said: ‘The family is in great sadness and shocked by the unique situation of such young people being suspected of the murder.

‘They hope that the preliminary investigation will clarify the circumstances of the case.’

TNT Sports has today replaced BT Sport in the UK and Ireland, with Premier League and Champions League football set to be shown on the new channel from the 2023/24 football season.

Showing domestic and European football across South America, as well as NBA, NHL and NCAA in the United States, TNT Sports is already a live sports broadcaster across the world and a subsidiary of Warner Bros Discovery.

This is the first time the two have been seen publicly hanging out since the 2019 scandal, when their friendship ended.

Back in 2019, the internet was shook when Woods was accused of having an intimate relationship with the then-boyfriend of Khloe Kardashian, Tristan Thompson.

According to TMZ, Tristan had flown into Los Angeles to spend Valentine’s Day with Khloe and their daughter, True.

A few days later, he attended a party where he was spotted getting all cuddly with Woods. TMZ sources say the two couldn’t get their hands off each other throughout.

As a result of this, Woods was excommunicated from the Kardashian-Jenner family, and her close-knit friendship with Kylie crumbled.

The mother of two and the model met in 2012 through their mutual friend, Jaden Smith. After the meeting, they developed a close friendship and became almost inseparable, even living together. Jordyn also notably attended Kim and Kanye West‘s wedding, which was held in Italy in 2014.

In an attempt to vindicate herself, Woods guest starred on Jada-Pinkett-Smith‘s Red Table Talk to tell her side of the story.

On the show, she took a lie detector test to prove that she did not have a sexual relationship with Tristan. She was asked, “Did you have sexual intercourse with Tristan Thompson?” “No,” she replied. The test proved that she was being honest.

Even after her friendship with Jenner ended, she reaffirmed that she would always love her. She said this when TMZ asked her again, “Do you love Kylie?” Woods responded, “Always.” She doubled down, saying again, “I will love Kylie always.”

Given this new update, it might be safe to assume that the two are now on good terms again.

James Woods, who has long been one of the only openly conservative stars in Hollywood, took to social media on Thursday night to take a stand for the Second Amendment, which gives Americans the right to bear arms.

Woods Defends Second Amendment

“The Second Amendment only makes sense when you need it, and then it makes more sense than anything on earth,” Woods tweeted.

Woods, 76, has long been an outspoken defender of the Second Amendment.

“When the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court must take the extraordinary step of admonishing a United States Senator from targeting the lives of named Justices, we are in civil war territory,” Woods tweeted in 2020. “The Founding Fathers wrote the Second Amendment for violent haters like Chuck Schumer.”

Woods Shoots Down Alyssa Milano

That same year, Woods fired back at the radically liberal Hollywood actress Alyssa Milano after she said, “The weapons that people are buying today could end up being used in household, schools, churches, bars and on our streets in the future. We all have to look out for each other, so please, please, please share this video to stop the coronavirus gun surge. We can’t lose anymore lives to guns during this pandemic or after it’s over.”

Woods, however, was not having any of this.

“Thank you for the reminder,” he responded. “When the looting starts, always be prepared. Buy more ammo!”

Woods ‘Blacklisted’ By Hollywood

Woods, who has been nominated for two Oscars in the past, has previously claimed that he was “blacklisted” by Hollywood for being a conservative.

“I, too, was blacklisted by that individual at #HFPA after nine Golden Globe nominations,”  he tweeted back in 2018. “During a press junket with HFPA, he asked if I would support Hillary Clinton if she ever ran for president. Never nominated again.”

Around that same time, Woods revealed that he was dropped by his agent, who he described as a “political liberal,” over his views.

“It’s the 4th of July and I’m feeling patriotic. I don’t want to represent you anymore. I mean I could go on a rant but you know what I’d say,”  Woods’ former agent Ken Kaplan wrote to him in an email.

“Dear Ken, I don’t actually,” Woods replied. “I was thinking if you’re feeling patriotic, you would appreciate free speech and one’s right to think as an individual. Be that as it may, I want to thank you for all your hard work and devotion on my behalf. Be well.”

Woods Defends Trump

Woods has also been an outspoken defender of the former President Donald Trump.

“Let’s face it. Donald Trump is a rough individual,” Woods tweeted in 2020. “He is vain, insensitive and raw. But he loves America more than any President in my lifetime.”

“He is the last firewall between us and this cesspool called Washington,” he continued. “I’ll take him any day over any of these bums.”

We are living in a time when the entertainment world is more liberal than ever before. God bless Woods for being one of the only actors who has the guts to defend conservative values, which include the Second Amendment!

Relax in an ecodome, Lincolnshire

I’ve just returned from the most relaxing weekend at Purusha Retreats, south of Lincoln. From the moment we headed up the grassy, tree-lined driveway we knew we’d arrived in relaxation heaven. Set in a countryside location, we slept in private ecodomes, each with hammocks, a wood-fired hot tub, a private shower and compost loo. Eco-friendly toiletries are provided. Each dome is set apart from the others for complete privacy. The communal spaces are equally beautiful, set around a small lake. Walks are marked around the site. Mornings are a joy of birdsong and evenings are delightful under the stars.

Mud and waters, Emilia-Romagna, Italy

Sometimes the best travel discoveries are found by chance and the wellness retreat at Salsomaggiore Spa was a case in point for me. While vainly attempting to follow the Tour of Italy cycle route on my own two-wheeler, I pulled up in the verdant hills of Emilia-Romagna with back strain. A local waitress pointed me to the elegant town of Salsomaggiore Terme. “The waters cure your everything,” she said. How right she was. A day later I was in a lovely, naturally heated pool surrounded by Italian housewives enchanted by my English accent, waiting for some mud to be caked on my dodgy back. Three days later I was back in the saddle. Daily entry from just €40.

Wendy at the Lotus Pad runs regular retreats in the finca she shares with her rescue cats and partner Neil, who provides a fabulous brunch. Ten minutes away from Santa Eulalia and Santa Gertrudis, it’s set within a smallholding. Rooms are basic but the yoga is first class. Four nights’ B&B and yoga costs £350 in a shared room, but there are also seven- and 10-night packages. Really fond memories of coming here, as a solo traveller, enjoying the yoga then zooming around the island with fellow classmates, off to the best beaches, hitting Las Dalias market or heading out to eat. Highly recommend.

Sleep and sun, Venice

Almablu hot tub area

My best ever solo spa retreat was to the Almar Jesolo resort at Lido di Jesolo, right on the beach and about an hour by bus and boat to Venice. The hotel offered a healthy dining menu in a relaxed, informal setting. I took a sleep package which included yoga, massages, and heavenly facials. The saunas, spa, pools and steam rooms were beautifully luxurious and my stunning room had beach views. I took a day out to explore Venice and loved the beachside location to top up my tan too.

Finca el Moro is a family-run retreat centre and farm in Andalucía. The yoga space is on the old threshing circle, built in 1917, and during the classes we were surrounded by trees and lulled into deep relaxation by the sound of the sheep bells and birdsong. The food was amazing; delicious Mediterranean-style dishes, straight from the finca’s vegetable garden. We stayed in charming stone cottages and sat by the pool, enjoying the company of dogs, cats, a donkey and three horses. It’s a unique place and a well-kept secret in the Sierra de Aracena, just an hour from Seville. Our seven-day retreat cost €980pp, including food, accommodation, tuition and airport transfer.

Charlie Woods, the son of golf legend, Tiger Woods has won the junior tournament.

The 14-year-old cruised to an eight-stroke victory in the boys’ 14-15 division at the Major Championship in Royal Palm Beach, Florida over the weekend. Naturally, Charlie was the only player to finish the tournament under par, at -1.

Charlie, 14, was the only player in the entire tournament to finish the weekend under par at one-under.

The father-son duo have competed together at the PNC Championship over the last couple of years, finishing as runner-ups in 2021 thanks to a fairly strong display from the younger member of the Woods’ team.

Tiger, an investor of the Hurricane Junior Tourwas actually on-hand at the tournament to watch his son’s impressive performance. He is still recovering from an ankle surgery that he underwent following the Masters.

He’s set to miss next week’s U.S. Open and it remains unclear if he’s going to be able to participate in The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool in July.
