Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask Review | British Beauty Blogger

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I went through a phase of being mad for masks a few years ago and would use the several times a week. I realised that I didn’t really need to be using them at that pace and then went completely the other way and only occasionally used them. I think my masking passion is coming back – I’ve tried several recently and fallen in love with a few including Odile (sponsored content, for clarity) and now Tatcha Violet-C.

Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask Review

Vitamin C is noted for its ability in skin care to improve complexion brightness and texture as well as giving antioxidant support. This is blended with two types of vitamin C with one for immediate effect and one for longer term benefits. I always want to see an immediate result from a mask – I can’t get along with masks that provide results ‘over time’ because who can remember how radiant their skin was two weeks ago. I certainly can’t. If I’m going to the effort of sitting a product on my face for 20 minutes, I want results! Anyone who finds a potent Vitamin C blend too strong for their skin will, I think, find this tolerable as it’s remarkably gentle.

The mask also contains fruit AHAs and the signature Hadasei-3™ complex  which provides a gratifying amount of smoothing on the skin. Straight after the mask is a good time to use Violet-C Brightening Serum if you’re feeling spendy and like the look of both, otherwise just use whatever serums or moisturisers you already have.

Hadasei-3™

It’s amusingly Violet Beauregarde-ish and goes slightly stiffer on the skin. Otherwise, given the acids, it’s kind-feeling. Once I’d rinsed off, my skin felt super-soft – it’s hard to say it looked more glowy exactly (especially on a rainy day like today) but definitely looked perky and felt toned. If you like a morning mask, this is just the thing to ensure that your skin looks smooth and supple pre-foundation or tinted moisturiser – you will see a difference that way but I’d fall short of advising it for night time because I feel the instant effects would be lost overnight. I try to mask in the morning so I can enjoy the results rather than dreaming all over them :-). As you’d expect, the Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask is quite pricy at £65 HERE.
