A teenager in the UK has been charged with the murdr of a mother gunned down in a drive-by shooting outside a wake in Brent just days before Christmas. Tahjin Sommersal, 18, of Feltham, was arrested last Wednesday in connection with the de@th of Michelle Sadio on December 14. The 44-year-old mother from Walthamstow, East London, was gunned down when a car pulled up outside a church in northwest London, near Wembley Stadium, and opened fire on a crowd of mourners in the street last month. Two men, both aged in their 30s, were also injured during the incident. On Saturday, Feltham was charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He was remanded in custody and appeared at Willesden Magistrates Court on Monday. Sommersal will appear again at the Old Bailey this afternoon. Met Police also arrested a further five men at addresses in Brent and Hounslow in connection with the murder. Two men, both aged in their 30s, were also injured during the incident. Michelles family have been informed and continues to be supported by specialist officers. At the time of the tragedy, Detective Chief Inspector Phil Clarke, who leads the investigation, described it as ‘a senseless act of violence that resulted in an innocent woman being k!lled.’ He added: ‘Michelle’s family continue to grieve and we are determined to ensure those responsible face the consequences of their actions.’ Ms Sadio, from Walthamstow, East London, was attending a nine-night ceremony on December 14 to celebrate the life of 80-year-old Dinah Boateng, who was the mother of one of her school friends. The ceremony – held at the River of Life Elim Pentecostal Church in Harlesden – was organised to mark the ninth day on from Mrs Boatengs death on December 5. She had stepped out of the venue to take a breather when she was shot just before 9.15pm.
